Eric Fledderjohann currently serves the community of Rocky River, OH as a Firefighter/Paramedic.
He has previously been assigned to Ladder 24 for the Youngstown Fire Department, which protects the south side of the city. Statistically, Youngstown, Ohio experiences more arson fires per capita than nearly any other city in the United States of America. He also previously worked for the District of Columbia Fire Department as the lead paramedic on an Advanced Life Support Engine Company. One of his two assignments was on Engine Company 30 which today is the busiest Engine Company in the country. He also previously served as a firefighter/paramedic on fire departments in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Wooster, Ohio, and volunteered on the Central Joint Fire Department in Northwest Ohio.
Eric became a Nationally Registered Paramedic at the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio. He has also earned his Level II Firefighter certifications from The Ohio Fire Academy in Reynoldsburg, OH, South Carolina Fire Academy in Columbia, SC, and The District of Columbia Fire Academy in Washington, D.C.
Eric is an active member of The International Association of Firefighters, and The Northern Ohio Firefighters Association. Previously he was a member of the Local 36 Safety Committee for The District of Columbia Fire Department, and an active member for the Washington D.C. Firefighter's Burn Foundation which provides support to burned firefighters and their families, and other burn survivors of all ages in and around our Nation's Capital.
Eric's wife, Amanda has her Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Masters Degree in Reading Specialty. She currently works as an early childhood educator for the Green Local School District in Green, Ohio.
